EVENT DESCRIPTION

5K: Grab some of the family or friends and join us for this 3.1-mile fun run and race! The race starts and ends right in the heart of vendor village. You'll run on road, dirt and gravel trails during this race as you wind through the Buena Vista Riverpark. You'll get some of the best views of the Arkansas River as you run along part of the river trail, through South Main and then as you return toward the event center and vendor village, the views of the Collegiate Peaks will be panoramic! This 5k course is mild and has little elevation gain (62 feet total).

14K: Yes, you read that right, 14er Fest is hosting a new 14K Race! This is our unique version of a more competitive and challenging race/trail run! You will begin with most of our 5k course that winds you through the Buena Vista River Park. Once through the River Park you will cross the Arkansas River bridge and continue on the Midland Hill Trail System. As you gain elevation you will be treated to elevated views of Buena Vista, the Arkansas River and the Collegiate Peaks! You just might be short of breath from the race and the scenery! The return trip takes you down the South Midland Trail, across the river, through South Main and then home to vendor village and the Eddyline Beer Garden! This course is challenging and features over 500' of elevation gain.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

5K: The 5K race runs through the east end of Buena Vista and the Buena Vista River Park. The course follows city streets, paved trails, dirt trals and some dirt road sections. This course is mostly flat with minimal elevation gain.

14K: The 14K races runs through the east end of Buena Vista, over the Arkansas River and utilizes several section of the Midland Hill Trail System. The course follows city streets, dirt roads and singletrack dirt trails. The toal elevation gain of this course is 500'.

DIRECTIONS TO THE RACE

From the Hwy 24/Main Street Intersection in Buena Vista, head 2 blockes east on East Main Street to the event perimiter. The start and finish line are in the center of the event street closure.

PARKING

There is available parking up and down East Main Street, and there is additional parking both north and south at the Railroad St/East Main Street intersection.
