EVENT DESCRIPTION

Join us for our annual Canine on the Creek 5K Fun Run to benefit Charlie's Place Animal Shelter and Clear Creek Metropolitan Recreation District Youth Programs. This race is an out and back set up that starts and finishes at Charlie's Place Animal Shelter in Dumont, Colorado. This is a beautiful course that runs parallel to the Clear Creek River. The course is primarily run on a dirt road, with a small section on pavement. We will have food, a beer garden, music and a raffle at the finish.

RACE DISTANCES

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Runners will start at the animal shelter and run along a wide path adjacent to the creek for roughly 1/2 mile. The path then turns into Silver Lakes Dr. Runners will continue on this road to the Lawson White Water Park, where they will turn around and run the same route back to the start/finish line.

DIRECTIONS TO THE RACE

From the East: I-70 west to exit 235 At the stop sign, turn left onto County Rd 312. Take a right on County Rd 310/W. Dumont Road. The overflow parking area is right there at the intersection of County Rd 312 and W. Dumont Rd. The LDS church parking lot is a couple of blocks to the west.

From the West: I-70 east to exit 233, towards Lawson Merge onto County Rd 308 Turn right onto County Rd 312 Turn right onto County Rd 310/W. Dumont Rd The overflow parking area is right there at the intersection of County Rd 312 and W. Dumont Rd. The LDS church parking lot is a couple of blocks to the west. There are two parking areas. Parking will be at the LDS church on Dumont Road (about a block before the road dead ends into Charlie's Place).

PARKING

There is parking in a lot 1/4 mile from the race start or along the road leading to Charlie's Place. We will have volunteers directing racers on parking.

Race Starts: 10:00 AM
Award Ceremony: 11"30 AM

REGISTRATION

If you want a race T-Shirt you must speify size and REGISTER BY April 20, 2020. Registrations after April 20 are not guaranteed a T-Shirt and there will be very few, if any extras.
