Indian Hills will again be hosting the Indian Hills 5k Fun Run/Walk to benefit our volunteer fire fighters and help fund our 4th of July Celebrations in the future! The race capitalizes on great views of our valley and neighborhoods. All runners receive a commemorative t-shirt, complementary ticket to pancake breakfast and other goodies! The Indian Hills Annual Fourth of July festivities immediately follow, including a parade and picnic in the park with live music!
1/4 mile kids fun run
The race begins and ends at Arrowhead Park, which is across from the Indian Hills Fire Station. Runners will start with a quick 1/2 mile down Parmalee Gulch Road, then turn right on Kiowa to start the hilly and packed-dirt portion of the run. The route then winds around up and down through Indian Hills neighborhoods. The first 2/3 of the route is shady and forested with gentle slopes, while the last bit of the course is sunny and a bit steeper. While one of the more challenging 5ks, the gorgeous views of the valley and neighborhoods will surely make you forget about the hills!
Take 285 South and exit Parmalee Gulch Road. Follow Parmalee Gulch Road for about 3 miles and the park will be on your left across from the fire house.
Parking will be available at FourSquare Church and the Pence Park parking lot.
