Join us for the 10th Annual Half Marathon as we raise money for those battling cancer! This is a unique, local home grown event established by our community 10 years ago.
100% of all proceed go directly to support the needs of individuals affected by cancer in Gunnison County. Race in honor or memory of a loved one and feel good your participation is serving others.
This is a spectacular trail run on Mount Crested Butte, in the Elk Mountains of Colorado. The 13.1-mile course ascends from 9,370 feet in elevetaion to 11,472 feet. Participants start at the base of Crested Butte Mountain Reseort and climb through Aspen stands and alpine meadow along a single-track trail. The steepest two miles of the climb arrive on the service road, just before reaching the top of the Silve Queen lift. Then racers turn back down the mountain 2.3 miles before returning to another single-track trail, heading north through deep evergreen forest and open meadows. After a four-mile descent, the trail climbs yete again for a little less than a mile.
Next, racers are rewarde with a three-mile downhill finish through scenic alpine meadows bursting with wildflowers, aspen groves, and scenic vistas. Runners complet the loop finish at the base of Mount Crested Butte where food and veverages await.
