The Solstice Swim is a swim originally created in cooperation with the Longmont Kinetics Festival. Participants have the opportunity to swim either a 500-YD race, 1.2 mile race or a 2.4 mile race. Awards will be given out to the top three finishers in each division for each race. Divisions will be both non-wetsuit and wetsuit for both men and women for each race. Hope to see you in the water!

RACE DETAILS
500-Yard Swim
1.2 Mile Competitive Swim (Timed – 13 year minimum age)
2.4 Mile Competitive Swim (Timed – 16 year minimum age)
TIME CUT-OFFS:
All swimmers must be capable of completing the distance you have entered and must be able to complete your respective event within the given cut-off time.
500-yard - 15 minutes
1.2 Miles – 1 hour
2.4 Miles – 2 hours

DIRECTIONS
From Boulder: Take 119 North to E County Line Road. Left on E County Line Road. In less than a mile, turn Right on Co Rd 26 (look for brown Union Reservoir directional signs). Follow to parking.
From Denver: Take 25N to Exit 240 (119W). Right on E County Line Road. In less than a mile, turn Right on Co Rd 26 (look for brown Union Reservoir directional signs). Follow to parking.
From Fort Collins: Take 25S to Exit 243 (66W toward Longmont/Lyons/Platteville). Four miles to E County Line Road. In just over two miles, turn Left on Co Rd 26 (look for brown Union Reservoir directional signs). Follow to parking.
MUST BRING A COPY OF YOUR RECEIPT TO PROVE ENTRY IN RACE AT FRONT GATE!
PARKING
Parking will be as directed by event personnel. There is a parking lot, which will be used. Volunteers and signs will help to direct you.
COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course for the 1.2 and 2.4 mile races will be around a 3 buoy loop, keeping the turn buoys on the swimmer's right, taking 120 degree turns. The 1.2 mile race will be a single loop. The 2.4 mile race will be two loops. The 500-yard will be a shorter loop. See the course map for more details.
RACE DAY SCHEDULE
6:15am - packet pickup begins
7:30am - packet pickup closes
7:45am - swimmer safety meeting
8:00am - 1 mile and 2 mile race starts
8:05am - 500 yard swim starts
9:00am - Cutoff for 1 mile swimmers
10:00am - Cutoff for 2 mile swimmers
10:15am -- Awards and giveaways
REGISTRATION
T-shirts are not guaranteed after June 8th. Online registration will close when the parking cap is reached (175 participants) or 11:59 PM on June 10th.
