EVENT DESCRIPTION

The half marathon is a point to point race in the middle of the Nebraska Sandhills! Runners are bused to the starting line, and enjoy a beautiful run in to the village of Arthur. The course is a single lane blacktop road, consisting of rolling hills (along with a couple of substantial hills) winding through local ranches. There will be water/aid stations every 2-3 miles as well as porta-potties along the route. Runners will be cheered to the finish line at the park in the village of Arthur, and awarded a unique finishers medal as well as a free meal!

The 5k is an out and back course starting and finishing in the town of Arthur.

Course is single lane blacktop, with some hills, rolling hills, and a little bit of flat!

DIRECTIONS TO THE RACE

Packet pick up will be at the Arthur County High School, and half marathon runners will be required to meet the buses there for the start line. No driving or runner drop off is allowed on the course, as the road is closed to vehicles.

PARKING

Parking will be at the high school and Village Park in Arthur.

AWARD CATEGORIES

For both 5k and Half Marathon:

Top Male and Female Finishers
Top 3 in each age category for both male and female (19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+) so 6 awards for each category.

Buses to the start depart at 5:30 am
Race Start: 6:30 am

5k:
